When you think of the word “legacy”, what comes to mind?
What we leave behind for the ones we love?
What if I told you that the legacy we leave our kids is a result of our actions today?
In this eye-opening conversation with Julie Redmond on the Mom Made Plans podcast, we discuss the unhealthy coping mechanisms (including scrolling) that I’ve used to deal with the stresses of motherhood, and how recognizing the legacy I wanted to leave has allowed me to shift my perspective. How does decluttering and organizing allow us to calm the overwhelm in our lives? In this interview on the Motherhood Restored Podcast, I chat with Natalie Hixson about the three causes of overwhelm, reducing decision fatigue, the power of saying NO and minding our “shoulds”, and much more!
Natalie Hixson is a wife, mama to three, and Certified professional Christian life coach. She helps discouraged Christian moms overcome destructive anger and burnout.
After learning to thrive in motherhood and process anger in a healthy way, Natalie became convicted to help other moms avoid those dark years of motherhood by helping them to appreciate and process their anger, learn to identify their triggers, and ultimately control their reaction to those triggering situations.

Are you overwhelmed by clutter? Overstimulated easily? Sensitive to noise, touch, caffeine, or sensory input in general? You may be a highly sensitive person, like me. Being an HSP has impacted my parenting in huge ways, including how I respond to sensory input, touch, and noise (hello, two boys!)
